KItchen 1907
At Kitchen 1907, we serve up a slice of Oklahoma history with every dish. Our name represents the year Oklahoma gained it's statehood and is our way of celebrating the state’s rich history while showcasing delicious local cuisine.
The owners of Kitchen 1907 are proud Native Oklahomans as well as members of the Cherokee Nation.
The Kitchen 1907 family has a long history with this great state that goes many generations deep. Our Ancestors rode in covered wagons in the Oklahoma land run in 1889 and settled in Okarche, Oklahoma. While our Ancestors on our Native American side are members of the Cherokee nation, and settled in Stilwell, Oklahoma on land that is still apart of our family homestead. Kitchen 1907 is a tribute to our family’s rich history and the history of all Oklahomans.
The Chef at Kitchen 1907, Holly Bruhwiler, a Native Oklahoman and a member of the Cherokee Nation, has worked long and hard to put together a menu that not only showcases some of Oklahoma's most loved foods, but she has also put her own unique twist on them; from fresh made Navajo Fry Bread to traditional Oklahoma Onion Burgers and of course the state's most cherished food, the Chicken Fried Steak. There is a little bit of Nostaligia with each bite. Come and enjoy a taste of Oklahoma at Kitchen 1907!
